5B Teacher update

I am writing to update you on some important staffing changes that will be taking place from the start of Term 5.

As many of you know, I spoke with parents in person on Monday because I felt it was important to share this news directly before sending a formal letter. I appreciate your openness and understanding during that conversation.

Both members of our current job‑share teaching team in 5b will be leaving their positions at the end of this term. Mrs Paddon has made the decision to retire, and we wish her every happiness as she moves into this next chapter. Mrs Twell will also be leaving to pursue a new professional opportunity at another school, and we thank her for her contribution to our community.

I fully recognise that this represents another period of change for the class, and I want to reassure you that supporting the children through this transition is our absolute priority. Recruitment for a new class teacher is already underway, and we are putting a clear plan in place to ensure continuity, stability, and the highest‑quality teaching provision.

As soon as an appointment is confirmed, I will share this with you. You have my assurance that we are committed to selecting a teacher who will bring strong expertise, warmth, and consistency to the class.  We have decided to tell parents this evening first.  You may wish to speak to your child tonight but we will be speaking to the class first thing tomorrow.
