Staffing Changes
3rd June 2026
Dear Parents,
As we begin Term 6, it is important to reflect on one of our key Nurture principles: we prepare for change in our lives. The final term of the school year often brings a sense of change, and this year is no exception—indeed, there is more change than usual ahead.
With this in mind, it is essential that we maintain clear communication with our families, and I would like to take this opportunity to provide a full update now that we are in a position to do so.
Saying Goodbye
As many of you are aware, I will be leaving at the end of this academic year to begin my new role as Headteacher at Mendip Green. Alongside my departure, there are several other staffing changes I would like to share with you.
Firstly, Fiona Bennett will be leaving Bournville at the end of this term. Fiona joined us in 2013 as part of the pastoral team and went on to become the Designated Safeguarding Lead. During her time here, she has significantly strengthened safeguarding practices both within the school and across the trust, ensuring the highest standards are upheld. Fiona has been an exceptional member of the team, and we are deeply grateful for her contribution to the school and wider community.
Natalie Baker will also be leaving at the end of the year. Natalie has dedicated over 20 years to Bournville, initially joining as a teacher before becoming SENCo in 2010. Throughout her time here, she has supported countless children and families and has played a vital role in developing and strengthening SEND provision within the school. Over the last 2 years, Natalie has been training to be a Play therapist and she has decided to explore this role full time next year. We thank Natalie for her commitment and lasting impact.
Jess West will be leaving us at the end of this term as she relocates to Warwickshire, where she has secured a new teaching post. Jess has been with Bournville for five years, teaching in both Year 1 and Year 2. She has consistently delivered high standards and has been a valued member of the team. We wish her every success in her new role.
Charlie Boustrad will also be leaving at the end of term. Charlie joined us three years ago following a period of tutoring and has made a significant contribution, particularly in Year 1, where her teaching has helped to strengthen outcomes and curriculum delivery. Charlie will be exploring new opportunities in September, and we wish her all the very best for the future.
We will also be saying goodbye to Chloe Walcott who joined the school in April. Chloe has secured a new role in another local primary and we thank her for her support of Year 5 and wish her all the best.
Welcoming and Staffing Updates
With these departures, we are also pleased to welcome both new and returning members of staff.
Mr Will Pritchard and Mrs Nina Williams will be returning to Bournville as teachers in September. Both previously worked at the school before exploring new opportunities, and we are delighted to welcome them back.
Vicki Price will be joining our teaching team from September. Vicki, a past pupil of the school has previously worked as a member of our support staff team, and after completing her Early Years degree, has gone on to complete her teacher training qualification with us this year. Vicki will be a wonderful addition to the teaching team.
We also welcome Donna Chadwick, an experienced teacher currently working at Milton Park. Will, Nina, and Donna bring a wealth of experience and familiarity, which will be a great asset to the whole team.
In addition, I am pleased to share that Genette Rawle has been promoted to Assistant Headteacher. In her new role, Genette will take responsibility for safeguarding and SEND across the school. As part of this change, she will step away from a full-time class teaching role and join the Senior Leadership Team.
