Headteacher Transition During Term 6

Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope this letter finds you well and that you are looking forward to the upcoming half-term break.

Further to my letter earlier this year, I wanted to update you on the plans for the transition of school leadership next term. Mrs Jaloszynski and I have been in close contact over the past couple of months, sharing key information to ensure she is fully prepared to begin her role confidently in September. Of course, this is only one part of the transition process. We believe it will be very beneficial for pupils, parents and staff to have the opportunity to get to know Mrs Jaloszynski before the summer holidays. With this in mind, we have agreed on a series of days throughout next term when Mrs Jaloszynski will be on site and in role as Headteacher.

While the specific days and times will vary, this is likely to be two to three days each week for most of the term. There will be occasions when I am also on site working alongside Mrs J; however, wherever possible, she will take on the role of Headteacher during these days - leading assemblies, working closely with staff, and meeting many of you at the beginning and end of the school day. Across our Trust, similar arrangements are in place, with other schools where there is a change in leadership.

I am very aware that we have a full and exciting programme of events planned for Term 6, including sports days, trips and performances, and I fully intend to be present at all of these.

I hope this provides reassurance of our commitment to ensuring a smooth and well-supported transition for everyone. As all of the new headteachers are joining from within our Trust, we have a unique opportunity to carry out a thorough handover, which we hope will make September a seamless experience for all.
